BlackGDP TV is an indie broadcast platform put together to facilitate and promote the growth of black perspectives in media and to promote black-on-black commerce.

Media is powerful and has the amazing power to shape thought and touch people right where they are.

The idea of BlackGDP TV is to provide a place where black perspectives shape the stories we tell rather than leave it up to mainstream media to tell our stories fairly and accurately from their perspectives.

The black community has become mostly consumers and not producers. We have a GDP of $1.3 Trillion per year in this country yet we own no institutions we can use to free ourselves financially collectively. GDP (gross domestic product) is the dollar value of a group's financial productivity/ contribution to the economy.

We need to aim that money back onto ourselves rather than sinking it (almost immediately) back into the coffers of a system built upon denying us access to our own resources but gladly taking our money.

We need to start buying from our own and supporting our own. Unfortunately, we do not know how.

In a nutshell, BlackGDP TV seeks to educate both sides on this issue of how to be better business owners and how to be more conscious consumers who understand the importance of group economics.
